Testimonials

"We were concerned about our son's reading level so I contacted Leah for an evaluation.  She was professional, knowledgeable and detail oreintated.  Leah was able to determine my son's reading level, as well as his strengths and needs in reading.  She attended the parent teacher conference with us.  Leah was able to ensure that the school put a plan into place so that our son recieved the appropriate interventions he needed to become an on grade level reader. He is now in 3rd grade, reads on grade level and loves to read!

When we first met Leah our child had an exisiting IEP, however she was not receiving the services she should and her goals were inappropriate.  Not only did Leah make certain that our daughter's IEP was corrected, she ensured we understood every page of the IEP and every step of the process.  Our daughter is now closing her educational gaps and receiving the services she needs!

Leah is very knowledgeable on school wide educational programs.  Leah's passion for our son radiated during our IEP team meetings.  Her advocacy provided more resources for our son in the public school setting, this increasing his phonemic awareness and school confidence.

Mrs. Roberts guided our family through a time when we needed to figure out if my son (Second grade at the time) had ADD or were we, as parents, reading too much into his inability to stay on task.  We have an amazing pediatrician who had diagnosed him with ADD. After the diagnosis,we met with Mrs. Roberts to see if we should pursue a 504 plan through the school he attends.  She was incredible and was able to guide us through the next few months. She has an intense desire to make sure kids with learning disabilites get the help they need. My son does not have an IEP but a 504 strictly for inattention.  He is not severe, but would have been completely overlooked in the school system because he is not a behavior kid and does well in school  However if not for his 504, he would literally be lost.  I could go on but my final comment will be that my husband and I would without a doubt recommend Mrs. Roberts to anyone in need of guidance with how to move forward in this crazy process.  We are very thankful to her.
